Designation: Site Engineer Total Years of Experience: 3 years Location: Palampur (Work from Site)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications for execution on-site.
- Monitor construction work to ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and supervisors to resolve technical issues.
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare progress and inspection reports.
- Ensure proper utilization of materials and manpower to meet project timelines.
- Track project milestones and flag potential delays to the project engineer.
- Maintain accurate documentation of site activities, material usage, and testing results.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- Support in resolving structural or technical discrepancies during execution.
- Coordinate material and equipment procurement with the purchase/store team.
- Conduct on-site testing of materials (concrete, soil, etc.) as per project requirements.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings and handover documentation.
Desired Skill Set
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and structural plans.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office/Excel.
- Understanding of construction quality standards and safety codes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective coordination and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
- Time management skills to handle multiple site activities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant IS codes and construction standards.
- Ability to use surveying instruments (total station, level, etc.).
- Willingness to relocate or travel to project sites as required.
